UK Politics

UK Politics looks at the relationship between people and politics. It examines the nature of our democracy and how we interact with it, the political parties that seek to represent us, the different systems of how we choose our representatives, and how our views and opinions are impacted by short- and long-term factors. You will gain an appreciation of how people interact with different political organisations, including pressure groups. It will also focus on today’s main arguments and debates, such as reducing the voting age to 16, and how much of an impact the media has on political behaviour.
